Under the streets of Antwerp lays a hidden, century-old history. During the Middle Ages, the city was supplied with a massive network of open sewer systems, that were used intensively for over a thousand years. Even now, the Ruien provide an important connection between different parts of the city. You will discover this underground world in rubber boots and a special suit, during this special teambuilding activity. Don’t worry, the system is currently not in use.
A professional guide will take you through the darkest corners of the underground water system. After a boat tour, you will walk along covered streams, fortifications and drains in semi-darkness. The medieval vaults will reveal their secrets step by step, an impressive journey through time.
You will end your program in Antwerp with a delicious dinner in one of the most beautiful restaurants or bars in the center of Antwerp.
