The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Cathedral is the oldest place of prayer in Antwerp and the biggest gothic church in the lower lands. You will visit, for example, diverse sacristia, the council chamber of the church factory, the Bisschopskamer, the inner court and you climb, among other things, the small tower, from where you have a beautiful view of the historic city.
The tour through the Cathedral can be expanded with a demonstration of the Schyven organ. As you stand around the keyboard, the organist explains the operation of this beautiful instrument with more than 5000 pipes. You will be amazed at the difficulty of playing such an organ. You will listen to some organ works in which the characteristics of both organs are fully demonstrated. This is also a special experience for non-organ connoisseurs.
You will end the program with a delicious dinner in one of the cozy restaurants or bars in the center of Antwerp
